It is made with a calibrated marker and colored pencils.

I have raised the roots of the tree you have drawn Dana, and mushrooms with beautiful colors have emerged. The wind blows, the seed of dandelions, and the leaves of the trees fly very far. In this fantastic forest anything can happen...

I'm waiting for your Molys. Where are they?. Do you have started? I'm waiting for your comments at the end of this post.

I was just checking in. I mailed my book to Marisol about 4 weeks ago now, and am hoping it made it. I am working on Lindsay's book and will be ready to mail it in a couple weeks. I will wait to hear if any thing else is ready to move. :) Hope you all are enjoying the summer!

When I draw or paint, I do it for me, because I like it and it makes me happy, but I know that these emotions can be transmitted to those who watch our art. This is the reason, this blog is a great opportunity to share our art.

I encourage you to include more photographs of your project, before, during and after carrying out the drawings so that others can see the different steps of the project.

If we want our art to be private I'm afraid this isn´t the appropriate place because this blog is on the internet. This place isn´t private, is public.

Please, I beg you to participate with your comments on the entries in this blog. This is a project in which all must interact continuously and constantly.

Hi Everyone!

I had my theme done for awhile now, but until I really delved into my drawing, I just didn't know what to say. When we are small, young, our imaginations run free. That gets pushed out of us at school, among other places. I remember day-dreaming a lot. I lived out in the country, surrounded by woods. I spent a lot of time outside and with my head in books. I used my imagination readily and thought it would be fun to try to remember just what I used to dream about. It has been difficult separating what I dream about now, from the way I used to think then.

I hope to see what you were like as a child through your daydreams as well. The right side of my image is done as well, I am filling in the center. It is hard to think like little me! I will send a final picture when it is all done.

Place of origin: Asia. India to the Philippines, Indonesia and northwestern Australia, where they inhabit warm, moist forests, usually near water.

I finished my first drawing and I am prepared to send it to the next artist but I expect each of you include photos of your sketchbooks and drawings. When you include your drawings on this blog then I send my sketchbook to the next artist.

I am a woman with little free time, I'm married mother of two children, work at home and I have a job outside my home but I have taken this project very seriously and I'm trying to be as quick as possible.

I like drawing and painting and I like to do things that give joy to others, this is the reason why I think we should include many photographs of our drawings and sketchbooks in this blog.

I would like this blog has more life, I need your comments and pictures more often.

Please do not let this project die, I think if we put a bit of interest we can get something very beautiful.

The theme of my sketchbook will be:

"PASSION FOR NATURE"

I chose this topic because I like nature in general and I like to draw things make me happy.

I started my sketchbook drawing a pink begonias I have in a pot in my studio and you can see in my first entry in this blog.

Common name: Begonia waxy
Family: Begoniaceae
Place of origin: Brazil
Description: Herbaceous erect, very floriferous.
Two varieties. Pink and white

I whis that when you get my sketchbook and start drawing you tries to concentrate and think about the wonderful natura around us that is generous and gives us joy.

I have included the delivery order from us and also my personal address and my e-mail for this sketchbook is not lost.

I am very happy with this adventure and I hope that you enjoy drawing in this sketchbook.

Two and a Half Pages

Let us recall some of the rules of this project as are indicated in the blog Moly_X_25

Each person does 2.5 pages per round. So you will share a half page with someone, either the person before or after you, depending how it splits, but I would consider overlapping and not ending exactly on the edge as it gives the next person a little something to work with if that makes sense. No one's going to be mad about taking a little more or less. It all evens out eventually. Also, the second round might be confusing, because some people counted the "flap" (the page that is not really part of the accordian) and some did not.

Hello, greetings to everyone. I'm Marisol Covelo and I live in Madrid, the capital of Spain (Europe).

Here I present this marvelous sketchbook. This is my first Moleskine Japanese and is a dream to have this jewel in my hands.

It is a pleasure for me to start this adventure with you. I hope all the books arrive at their destination. Please include your e-mail address in your sketchbook. Is very important that we stay in contact by e-mail, FLICKR and this Blog, because I would like each one of us receive our notebooks full when the project ends.

I would like that make your drawings in a maximum of one month to keep the books and enthusiasm for this project. If we delay we will be more difficult to complete this project.

I thought I'd post what I have so far (one side).... but looking for a theme to go with it....

Sign-in Page and a Theme

Ok, I have finally chosen a theme for my book: Local Haunts. I am hoping that when you receive my book, you will add a drawing of a place in your town/city that is a local hot-spot. I'm looking for great places to visit that only the locals really know about, places that aren't listed in a tourist guidebook.

To go with my theme, I have designed a special sign in page so that everyone can fill in their name and location and do a small design for a sign - it might be a welcome sign or the name of the place you are going to draw in the moly, or any other kind of visitor sign you want :)

I've done mine: just a "come in we're open sign" and there is space for each of you to add your versions as well and names as well.

I am hoping to also get some business cards from the location I choose and tuck them into the back flap, that way, everyone can take one and have a collection of cool spots from around the world.

I have 3 cool spots from around Toronto - now I just need to choose one and get my first drawing done!

Let's get started right away! Don't wait to start your books. If you don't have one yet, go get one!

It's good to see these groups moving again and I'm excited to work with you all in this role. Mostly, you won't notice me at all. I'll be poking my head in to see what's going on and to nudge you all to complete your entries within that month time frame.

So, just a couple of things as you get going. As Alicja mentions in a previous post, do you guys want a theme? This is always a good idea, but of course not necessary. I think it helps new members contribute by giving them an idea of where to start. If you decide to have a theme for your book make sure to leave a note in your book about what your theme is. Feel free to post it on the blog too, but after a while it can become difficult to know what a specific book's theme is so having a note in your book helps a lot.

Next I'd like to talk a little bit about mailing order. It doesn't really matter! Ok, maybe it does. You can think about it two ways. First, you might want artists to contribute in a specific order because some artists just have a natural chemistry when working side by side. I like the randomness better though. You can just pick the random order that's already on the side of the blog here. It lists as:

Hi Everyone,

I am really glad to be part of this new moly_x group!

Let me introduce myself: My name is Alicja. I am originally from Poland, but now living in Toronto, Canada. I am a teacher at the University of Toronto. I work mostly with international students learning English.

I love to draw and paint, although I haven't always had time to focus on my hobbies. The moly exchange groups are really great in that I feel motivated and accountable to a group of people to make time to keep the books moving :) I also make my own clothes and love to sew for others.

In terms of this exchange, I don't know if you are interested in each of us having a different theme, or if we all want to have the same theme, but with different variations and starting points... I am open to suggestions, but I really want to get started soon :)

Then, we should also figure out the order for sending the molies and a schedule to keep us on track!

Again, it's great to be part of this exchange! Hope to hear from you soon!
